Another quick home-based business idea...
If you are unfortunate enough to live in a neighborhood like mine, you don't have mail boxes. You have to live with those centralized boxes like they have at apartments... only not as convenient to get to.
If you know what I'm talking about, then you also will recognize the problem that I see... too much crap taped to the sides of the "box".
Couple that with the spread of "Garage Sale" or "Lost Dog" or "Lost Cat" or other random items mounted to any upright post and your pretty neighborhood starts looking like a leaflet zone gone haywire.
So, CLEAN UP YOUR AREA and get a deal with the local home owner's association to put up some outdoor display signs near some key points (like the centralized mail box) and post all of the local information.
Monetize the business idea by having a section of the outdoor sign that you gain revenue from by having local business advertisements installed.... similar to those useful "indoor bathroom advertisements" at all of the local bars / eateries.
Doesn't sound like a bad way to help the community you live in and gain some additional income from a home-based business.
