I ran across this neat looking thing the other day on cnet's news.com site .

 

The company powering the visual is liveplasma.

 

Why is it so cool?

 

Because I like visuals and in this format, it makes it easy to follow the links 2+ steps away.

 

It makes discovery easier.

 

I think that putting blogs / bloggers into this format would be great.

 

No more scrolling through category listings.

 

I'm not into details on this one... I just love the visual format.

 

Of course I also have to say that I checked out the main site and it's current focus is on movies and music and after punching in some movies I honestly can't figure out how some relate to another... but the news example from above was great.
