|Site Affiliate Programs - Suggestion|

As a web site owner looking to monetize my effort I have looked at different affiliate programs.... trying to find something relevant and worthy of putting on the site(s).
Through my searching I've come to one conclusion... affiliate programs really suck.
Not that affiliate programs aren't worthwhile and don't make some people some money... but finding them, signing up for them, getting the image(s), code(s), link(s) all straightened out is a pain.
There's one resource that I discovered had an affiliate program and thought, that fits with the site and I've used some of their items... a perfect fit. But I've still yet to navigate the maze from the original source, through the company that hosts the affilliate program and then to producing something on the site.
My suggestion... make affiliate programs as simple as possible.
If I'm on your site and go "damn, this is kick ass, I would like to pass this on to people..." I should be no more than 3 clicks away from getting the correct code.
1st click - onto the signup page
2nd click - either onto the choose format page, or email confirmation link
3rd click - show me the code
Really, what's the point of an affiliate program if the people can't get your information onto their site?
